Deepika Padukone has managed to take Bollywood with a storm. The actress is one of the most popular and talented actresses in the industry. Over the course of her career, she has managed to stun many with her strong performances. The actress was last seen in the film Padmaavat and managed to impress many with her strong performance in the movie.
Deepika was all set to share screen space with her Piku co-star Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, but due to Irrfan’s health, the film has been postponed for now. Meanwhile, the Padmaavat star is yet to announce her next project. At an event, in Chennai, the actress recently spoke about the changing trends in Bollywood.
In the interview, she acknowledged that there is a certain sense of repetitiveness in the scripts that are being offered and that too, biopics. In an interview with The Hindu, Deepika said, ” I feel like there are too many biopics being made. In the last few months, I can’t count the number of biopics that we’ve been offered.
She further added, “they’re all great; they’re very strong and powerful. But when it comes to a film, after a point, how much are you going to tell me about those struggles? Even a common man on the street has had a similar journey if you ask me.”
Over the past couple of years, a lot of biopics have been directed. Sanju, Soorma, Parmanu, Raazi, Padman all released this year itself. This trend of biopics seems like will not die anytime soon as more biopics such as Super 30, Manikarnika, Shakeelahave already been announced.
