Controversies over Kartik Aryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, protests against the film started on social media.

26 May 2022,(New Delhi): Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ is doing great at the box office (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Controversy). While this film has earned more than Rs 83 crore in 6 days, now it seems to be embroiled in controversies too. This sequel of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, which came in the year 2007, has been accused of making fun of children’s obesity (Fat Shaming). Many users are trolling the film made under the direction of Anees Bazmee on social media.

A user on Reddit has made a post about ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. It has been said that this film makes fun of child obesity in the name of comedy. Fat shaming. There is a boy in the film, whose obesity has been made fun of many times on the screen. This user has written, ‘Does no one want to talk about the joke and fatphobia being made about the size of a child’s body in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2? This time a boy has been bodyshamed. Further, this user has written tauntingly, ‘We understand that men do not have body type issues.’

Users came out in support of the film
It is interesting that many other users have supported the film while replying to this user on ‘Reddit’ itself. They say that it depends on their own thinking whether they are taking it as a comedy or considering it as fat shaming. Another user wrote, ‘I was watching this movie in the theater last night and every audience present there was laughing at that joke. There is no such thing as fat shaming here.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Tabu and Rajpal Yadav apart from Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Released in theaters on May 20, the film is standing on the threshold of 100 crore club. This film, which has earned more than 83 crores in 6 days, will easily earn 100 crores till its second weekend i.e. by Sunday.
