Kareena Kapoor (born on 21 September 1980) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films. She is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor and younger sister of actress Karishma Kapoor.

• How she got her name as “Kareena ”
The story about her naming is known to very few people that her name Kareena was derived from the book Anna Karenina which her mother Babita read when she was pregnant with her. It is said that her mother was inspired by that book and kept her name as “Kareena”.

Kareena Kapoor ‘s exposure to films from young age kindled her interest in acting and she was particularly inspired by the work of Nargis and Meena Kumari.
