Armaan Malik is back again to woo his fans with his new English single ‘next2me’

Indian singer Armaan Malik has already enthralled his fans with his first English single ‘Control’ a while back, after which he has set his foot into international music and now is back again with another beautiful English single ‘next2me’ which he unveiled on Friday, i.e. June 12, 2020.

The YouTube description under the video ‘next2me’ read, “The global lockdown has been tough on all of us, especially for those who are quarantined away from their loved ones. I wanted to capture that feeling of missing someone and wishing that they were next to you. We may have all the devices in the world to keep us connected, but having that person next to you is a different feeling altogether, something that no digital connection can ever compare to.”

“I believe ‘Next2me’ is a song that listeners will definitely relate to and make their own, and even dedicate it to their loved ones,” said Armaan Malik.

The 24-year-old singer also shared his personal thoughts behind making and releasing his new English single ‘next2me’ which is a lyrical video. He said, “For a while, I was taking a break from music, but then I think the only thing that will help me get through this crazy time is music. I had a session with one of my music producers, Jimmy in LA, he sent me some amazing beats, and one of them was what you hear as ‘next2me’. I knew I had to write something and the line, ‘all I want is you next2me’ randomly came to my mind.” He further added, “When I actually started writing this song with my friend Natania, I realized there are so many of us missing our loved ones in quarantine so many are stuck in different parts of the world and that’s how the birth of song happened.”

Armaan also mentioned that this is the first-ever time he has released a song so quickly and is super excited for the project. It has been Armaan’s childhood dream to sing in English.

The versatile singer and son of composer Daboo Malik, Armaan Malik has been giving his voice to Bollywood music since the age of 11 when he first sang “Bum Bum bole” for the movie “Taare Zameen Par” and later he has just excelled in his work. He is also known for his singing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, and Marathi.

This isn’t it, Armaan Malik has also attempted dubbing and lent his voice for the character of Salim in the radio version of Slumdog Millionaire for BBC Radio 1 and also for the English boy in the movie “My Name Is Khan”.
