At the same time, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has justified the policy of awarding marks to students on the basis of internal assessment after the Class X examination was canceled a day earlier. In an affidavit filed before a bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh, CBSE said that the evaluation policy of class X has also been made on the basis of evaluation policy of class 12 and the Supreme Court has also expressed satisfaction on this.

At the same time, there has been a demand to quash the petition filed against the evaluation policy. Responding to the PIL, CBSE argued that while making the policy, it has been kept in mind that the school could not do injustice to any student in giving marks. Schools give marks to the students on the basis of actual merit.

CBSE also said that the policy has been framed by experts in technical and higher education and the policy will not discriminate or discriminate against any student. The result committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring just, fair and reliable results. The petition has sought CBSE to amend the policy of internal assessment of class 10 students. Terming the allegations of the petitioner as baseless, CBSE said that there is neither any malpractice nor any scope for discrimination in its evaluation policy.
