Tractor Rally Violence: Families of Police Personnel injured in Tractor Rally holds the protest at Shaheedi Park

The retired and current officers, members, and families of Police Personnel who are injured, in the violence during the tractor rally on 26th January have staged a demonstration at Shaheedi Park in protest against the attack and demands strict against the perpetrators.

Delhi Police Personnel who are present at the protest have revealed that till now no actions have been taken on the accused of violence and they will protest today till 5 pm.

The families of the injured policemen are carrying cards showing photographs of how brutally the police officers were beaten.

The women Delhi Police personnel are also present and they also demand that strict action should be taken at the earliest against the accused of the violence that took part in different parts of Delhi

Around 400 Delhi Police Personnel were injured in the violence during the tractor parade on Republic Day.

‘I was on duty at Red Fort. I was deployed at the gate of the Fort. We were bringing out the crowd that had entered and hoisted the flag when suddenly we were attacked. They had sticks and swords with them. I received injuries on my head and legs’ said Head Constable Ashok Kumar.

‘I was deployed at Mukarba Chowk. DCP-ACP were also there. They spoke to protesters asking them to go to the approved route. But they turned aggressive, broke barricades, attacked us & vandalized vehicles. Didn’t know they would attack us’ said Head Constable Sunita, posted at PS Model Town.

Earlier Union Home Minister had also reached the hospitals to meet the injured policemen and took note of the whole incident.

Since 26th January Delhi Police are in action mode regarding the entire incident and have collected video footage and proofs sought from the general public to identify the miscreants.
