Farmers Leaders accused this popular actor of instigating farmers at Red Fort – Read to Know more about him.

Farmer leaders on Tuesday accused Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu of instigating protesters and leading them to create chaos in the Red Fort during the Republic Tractor Rally.

Senior Farmer leaders also blamed the Majha based Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee along with Deep Sidhu for the violence in the national capital and termed the entire episode as ‘the handiwork of some central agencies’ to defame the farmers struggle.

The 36-year old actor turned activist was summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) two weeks ago in connection with a sedition case against US-based banned Pro- Khalistan outfit Sikhs for Justice.

Farmers leaders alleged that Sidhu had differences with Samyukt Kisan Morcha and he intentionally tried to defame the farmers stir.

Bharatiya Kisan Union president Gurbam Singh Charunu said that ‘We condemn this act of Deep Sidhu in strong words and we think that he was working as a government agent. We didn’t plan to get to Red Fort and he did not follow our guidelines and misled some youth’

The controversy began with a Facebook video posted by Deep Sidhu’s account around 2 pm in which Deep Sidhu was seen holding Nishan Sahib, the flag of the Sikhs along with the supporters at the Red Fort.

Thereafter Deep Sidhu posted another video on Facebook at 5:40 pm admitting to hoist the Nishan Sahib flag and said that he had done nothing wrong.

The events of Republic Day 2021 was a shocking incident for the entire country, and even farmers leaders making frantic attempts to disassociate themselves from the factions that hijacked Red Fort.

According to the Delhi police,83 of its police cops were severely injured during violent clashes with protestors.

Activist and Swaraj India chief leader Yogendra Yadav said that Deep Sidhu even tried to instigate the protestors at the Singhu border protest site the previous night and probe should be launched into how Deep Sidhu reached Red Fort with a microphone.

For the unversed Deep Sidhu campaigned for BJP candidate Sunny Deol in 3019 who went to win the Gurdaspur Constituency. Deep Sidhu was close to Deol’s family but later Sunny Deol disassociated himself from Sidhu.
