1. Ponting’s prediction about Prithvi Shaw’s dismissal became correct.
Former Captain of Australia Ricky Ponting, while commenting in the India-Australia Test match, rightly predicted Prithvi Shaw’s dismissal.
“If he does have a chink in his armour it’s the ball which does come back into him… Quite often leaves a big gap between bat and pad and that’s where the Aussies will target.” Said Ponting.
Prithvi got bowled out by Mitchell Starc and scored 0(2).
2. ISRO successfully launched India’s 42nd Communication satellite CMS-01.
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Thursday has successfully launched the India’s 42nd communication satellite CMS- 01 from Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The PSLV- C50 launch vehicle put the communication satellite CMS- 01 in the orbitorbit, that will provide the coverage for disaster management and satellite internet connection. It will be the first one in the new series of communication satellites after INSAT and GSAT series.
3. Joe Biden to get COVID- 19 Vaccine shot by next week.
US President elect Joe Biden will get the COVID- 19 Vaccine as soon as next week, according to transition officials on Wednesday, as US authorities tried to build the public conference in the measure that promise to fight the pandemic.
Vice President Mike Pence will get the vaccine shot on Friday, The White House said.
4. Eight Pro- democracy activists charged over the security protests in Hong Kong.
Eight pro- democracy activists were by Hong Kong police on Thursday over their role in anti- government protests against the new national security law on July 1. People who were charged include the veteran activist Leung- Kwok hung, ex- legislator Eddie Chu, and former chief of Hong Kong’s Democratic Party Wu- Chi Wai.
