Netizens lash out at Former England Skipper Michael Vaughan for taking a dig at Indian Men’s Cricket Team.

Michael Vaughan, the former England skipper lauded the Indian Women’s team for their resilient show in the ODI series against England’s Women’s Team and took a dig at the Indian men’s cricket team for their performance in the World Test Championship Final.

Although the Indian women team lost the match but they did trouble the England top batsman while defending a low score of 221 runs. Vaughan congratulated Indian Women on Twitter but took a cheeky dig at the men’s team in the process.

Vaughan took to Twitter and wrote, “The Indian women’s team are putting in an excellent display today … Good to see at least 1 Indian cricket team can play in English conditions.”

However, fans of the Indian men’s team didn’t take the jibe kindly and decided to have a go at Michael Vaughan for his distasteful tweet. Here is what they had to say

Michael Vaughan’s tweet stems from India’s history of underperforming with the bat in England. Since 2007, the last time when India won a Test Series in England, India has lost 0-4 in 2011, 1-3 in 2014, 1-4 in 2018 and recently losing all-important World Test Championship in England states India’s inability to score big in England.

Meanwhile, with the defeat, India women have conceded an unassailable 2-0 lead to their opponents and lost the three-match ODI series. The third and final ODI will be played on Saturday, July 3 at the New Road in Worcester.

Whereas India’s men team will be gearing up for a five-match Test series against England.
