What should be called as a master stroke, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is set to offer its landline customers with unlimited free calls to any network’s mobile and landline on all Sundays after August 15, Independence Day.The move is an effort by the operator to boost its landline business.
Company confirmed on Saturday that a circular had been sent to all circles to begin providing the service pan India. This offer will be in addition to popular night hour scheme announced eariler., where customers could make free calls to any operator between 9pm to 7am every day. The competent authority on recommendation of tariff committee – CFA (Consumer Fixed Access) has approved unlimited free calling from BSNL landline to any network’s mobile and landline on all Sundays on pan India basis with effect from August 15, 2016,” read the circular issued by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) headquarters Delhi to its circle managers.
It is indeed a major step by our govt. operator as no similar scheme is in existence in the portfolios of its competitiors. Customers who get a new landline within 90 days from August 15 will only have to pay a fixed monthly charge of Rs 49, while installation charges will be free. New landline installation charges are currently Rs 500. So i think it’s a time to ditch your mobile operator and again joined hands with our own BSNL.
