1 Google, YouTube, Gmail was done in massive outage worldwide, Google confirms.

Google services abruptly went down on Monday evening, impacting hundreds of users. Among the services that were disrupted at the time of writing include Gmail, Google Search, YouTube, and Drive.

The latest outage, which seems to be more intensive than the last one, seemingly started around 5 pm IST today. Downdetector, the website that tracks web outages, has reported over 40,000 outage cases from around the world.

YouTube and Gmail seem to have been the worst hit globally, causing an uproar on Twitter about how Google services have left them high and dry especially on the first day of the week.

2 Eswatini’s PM Ambrose Dlamini dies after contracting COVID-19.

The prime minister of Eswatini, Africa’s last absolute monarchy, died in a South African hospital on Sunday, the government said in a statement.

Dlamini had been prime minister of Eswatini formally Known as Swaziland since October 2018.Ambrose Dlamini, 52, tested positive for COVID-19 four weeks ago.

3 Pankaj Tripathi joins Akshay Kumar in Bachchan Pandey.

Pankaj Tripathi is the latest addition to the cast of the Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchan Pandey. The film stars Kriti Sanon as the female lead. While Kriti and Pankaj have worked together earlier in Luka Chuppi, this will be Akshay’s first film with the Mirzapur actor.

Earlier, it was announced that Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez had joined the team of Bachchan Pandey.

4 Superspreader Santa infects more than 75 people with COVID-19 at a care home in Belgium.

A man from Belgium, who dressed up as Santa Claus to spread Christmas joy, ended up being labeled as ‘super spreader’ after inadvertently infecting 75 people at an old age home with COVID-19.

According to reports, the unnamed man visited the Hemelrijck aged care home in the Belgian town of Mol to entertain its residents and staff. However, he had no idea that he was already infected with COVID-19.

The man was welcomed to spread joy among 150 residents at the care home. While everything went smooth during the visit, he ended up infecting 14 staff members and 61 residents, one of which required oxygen support for breathing.
