According to the new update, users should agree to share their data with Facebook to continue using WhatsApp or else their accounts will permanently get deleted.
Surprisingly, now WhatsApp has a change of heart it seems as the messaging platform released a blog yesterday titled ‘Giving more time for our recent update’.
With its print and social media ad campaigns failing to change the hearts of users and the present leaks threat in their users the app has decided to push back the date from February 8 2021 to until May for now.
“Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. We’re still working to counter any confusion by communicating directly with WhatsApp users,” the company tweeted late on Friday.
“No one will have their account suspended or deleted on February 8, and we’ll be moving back our business plans until after May,” it added.
Ever since WhatsApp announced its revised policy the company saw its users outraged by it.Their recent development also saw reactions from netizens.
