‘Brown Skin Girl’ shining brighter than ever in the Grammy’s.

‘Brown Skin Girl’ a song which marks the celebration of dark and brown skinned women. The song features Beyonce and her daughter Ivy along side supermodel Naomi Campbell, American actress and singer Kelly Rowland, actress and author Lupita Nyong’o . When the Grammy released its nominations weeks ago her name did not appeared, thanks to the recent update being made.

The song is a highlight in 2019’s ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ where Beyoncé voiced the character ‘Nala’. The 8 year old can be heard in the opening and closing of the song, making her a special part and the youngest artist to be nominated in the Grammy.

Being a part of the song, Blue Ivy got various recognition and awards such as Soul Train Music Awards, BET Awards and many more. She is credited the co writer of the song along with Beyonce and Nigerian singer Wizkid. The 63rd Grammy Awards will take place on January 31st.
