No Fear No Favour

Bad news for this celebrity fan, the singer decided to quit music industry in 2017!

After her quotes about Taylor Swift went viral, Lovato says this year is her last year in the biz. Demi Lovato is leaving the music industry behind, she claims. After her quotes about Taylor Swift in Glamour magazine went viral on Tuesday, the “Body Say” singer says that she’s not cut out for the celebrity life.

In Glamour, Lovato called out Swift for writing a song bashing Katy Perry (who goes unnamed in “Bad Blood”) while still carrying the feminist flag.

“I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment. We all do things that aren’t, but I have to ask myself, Am I content with calling myself a feminist? Yes, because I speak out.”

She also insinuated that Swift’s friends didn’t promote healthy body positivity:

“To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real.”

After the quotes started to gain traction, Swift fans and others tweeted their disdain for her words, which Lovato combatted in her mentions. The singer has now deleted her Twitter bio.

Lovatics are pretty pissed that the bullying, which Demi has dealt with in the past, has driven her away. Lovato says that’s she’s going to focus on charity work in 2017, and she already has a great start. She is the co-owner of a mental health treatment center. She’s taken on bullying. She’s supported everyone from St. Jude’s to Save the Music Foundation. She started a mental health awareness campaign. So much!

Here’s the best song of Demi for you.
