Demonetization, a word which almost everyone is chanting nowadays. The sudden decision by PM Modi to ban the currency notes of 500 and 1000 denominations has shaken the whole nation to the core. While some are not yet tired applauding Modi for his decision, others are definitely not going to be tired condemning him for bothering them.
But one of the biggest changes that that this Demonetization has bought to the nation is that it has now changed to government into a ‘Marriage Bureau’! Unbelievable right?
Take a look at this tweet by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal:
सालियों को जूता चुराई के रुपए देंगे तो सालियों की लिस्ट बैंक को दें और साबित करें कि सालियों का बैंक अकाउंट नहीं। सालियाँ रसीद देंगी https://t.co/sKutdFWwJQ

Kejriwal’s reaction came soon after RBI’s new rule to put restrictions on cash payment for marriage expenses.
Reserve Bank of India has put a spanner on cash payment to meet marriage expenses even as it has finally notified the cash withdrawal relief up to Rs 2.5 lakh for this purpose.
RBI said cash withdrawals can be made by either of the parents or the bride or the groom but most importantly, they have to provide the full list of likely recipients of the cash payment along with a declaration from such persons that they do not have bank accounts.
Condemning this decision Kejriwal has targeted the government saying that the ‘Joota Churaayi’ ritual in Indian marriages would now be done with a list of sister-in-laws and they will also return a receipt to the groom.
AAP MP Manish Sisodia has also condemned the move by RBI
शादी-विवाह-रिश्ते-परिवार की समझ के लिए '56 इंच का सीना' नहीं नहीं 'ढाई आखर प्रेम' की ज़रूरत होती है। https://t.co/JYqLgQt5TV

Well, whatever the assertion may be, we cannot deny the fact that this is one of the most intelligent moves by the government but definitely with thousands of loopholes.
