Most expectant mothers hope for a safe and speedy delivery but few expect one in less than 60 seconds. Jessica Stubbins from Scunthorpe was barely through the hospital doors before she gave birth to her daughter Lucy.
Her husband Tom was still parking the car and missed the whole event – which was captured on CCTV. Speaking to the media, assistant shop manager and newly mother Mrs Stubbins said: “I just told Tom he best drops me off at the door as he parked the car. “And then I was trying to close the door really quick and then as I got out I just knew that she was on the way.
There was no stopping her, there was no time to sit down.
Mrs Stubbins said a nurse at Scunthorpe General Hospital quickly wrapped Lucy in a hoodie and took her inside. Just look at the video too.
