Hrithik Rohan and Yami Gautam-starrer Kaabil was well-received by the audience, thereby becoming a major box-office success. It seems like the film’s success has crossed the realms of Bollywood, as it may have a Hollywood remake soon, as per media reports. The makers have reportedly been approached by 20th Century Fox for the rights of the film.
Kaabil was a riveting revenge drama about Supriya and Rohan, a visually impaired couple, whose blissful life is wrecked after the former is raped by men with political links. She commits suicide and Rohan goes on a revenge spree. The film was hard-hitting and emotionally draining, with loads of action-packed sequences amplifying the experience.
Sanjay Gupta, the director of the film, spoke to the media and confirmed that they have, indeed, been approached by Tomas Jegeus, President of Fox International Productions. However, talks are still on. “Even though the developments are too premature to talk about at this moment, it is an honour for the team,” Gupta told Mid-Day in a statement.
Gupta also revealed that Kaabil has been voted the best film released in the first half of 2016 in an online poll, and the team is rejoicing at this win. Rakesh Rohan, the producer of the film, also added that it has all the necessary elements to be made into a Hollywood film.
The popular fair and lovely girl turned actress Yami Gautam launched Speedo’s new vertical fitness training program, Speedo AquaFit, by popular CrossFit L1 coach and Aqua Aerobics instructor FISAF Singapore, Pooja Arora.
Speedo has been working to elevate the status of swimming for fitness and reinforcing how water workout is becoming a big trend to get fit and achieve a more shaped body.
Speedo Aquafit encourages people to give up on mechanical based gyms and make swimming pool a new place for exercising.
Talking about fitness Yami said, “It’s so important to switch up your fitness regime from time to time. So when Speedo came to me and introduced me to their new Speedo AquaFit program, I was excited to give it a try. When you hear “water workouts” I’m sure you start picturing swimming laps. However, this water workout is completely different; in fact, you don’t even need to know how to swim since it is performed in the shallow end of a swimming pool. Comprising high intensity dumbbell movements such as triceps dips with forward kicks and power paddle movements such as chest presses and bicep curls, this workout has helped me train harder without worrying of muscle soreness and injuries. What’s more? Working out in the swimming pool has not just made me feel stronger, but I’ve got more energy and I’m sleeping so much better. At the end of long days and crazy schedules, I now can’t wait to jump into the swimming pool. Speedo AquaFit program is not just challenging but also so much fun”.
