KL Rahul faced the wrath of angry fans on social media.
Indian batsman KL Rahul yet again failed to grab his chance as his slump in form continued in the second Test against West Indies in Hyderabad on Saturday. The ongoing home series against the Windies was an opportunity for the Indian batsmen to make amends for their lack of form in the tough away England series.
However, with scores of 0 and 4 in both Tests, KL Rahul seems to have blown away his chance to cement his place in the Indian squad in the ongoing Test, KL Rahul could not gauge Windies skipper Jason Holder’s delivery and was clean bowled for 4 runs. Social media was livid with his batting performance and their anger was visible on Twitter.
His fellow teammate Prithvi Shaw grabbed his chance with open arms after hitting back-to-back 50+ scores in the series against West Indies. He scored a brilliant century (134) on his Test debut earlier in the first game at Rajkot. He continued his form with the bat after hitting his maiden Test fifty against West Indies in the second Test.
Fans were waiting for a treat on day 2 of the second Test match between India and England in Lord’s but instead had to endure boredom before James Anderson wrapped up Indian innings for fun.
However, this didn’t discourage the Twitterati to have fun and make use of the time they had on their hands.

Irrfan Khan who was diagnosed with a tumour returns to Twitter after 2 months where he addressed to Mithila Palkar and Dulquer Salman, with whom he shares screen space in upcoming release Karwaan.
Actor Irrfan Khan, who is currently undergoing treatment for a neuro-endocrine tumour, made a brief appearance on Twitter on Wednesday. The 51-year-old actor’s tweet was addressed to his first-time co-stars Mithila Palkar and Dulquer Salman, with whom he shares screen space in upcoming release Karwaan.
This is the first tweet that arrived on Irrfan Khan’s timeline in over two months – his previous tweet was on March 15, in which he revealed he was diagnosed with a neuro-endocrine tumour. “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with neuro-endocrine tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within has brought me hope,” read a part of his tweet.
Last seen in BlackMail, Irrfan Khan has a movie with his Piku co-star Deepika Padukone in the line-up, about which director Vishal Bhardwaj had tweeted: “Irrfan is a warrior and we know he will conquer this battle. Bigg Boss 11 might have terminated but the sparkling rivalry between Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan in the Bigg Boss house is still enacted. These two once again become successful in making a storm in the social media over a Twitter post that Shilpa had shared on 21st April.
Shilpa Shinde was entangled in controversy last year when a viral video featured a person looking like her in a compromising position with a boy. Recently, again a video posted on social media turns the matter worse and serious. It seems like that the controversy between Hina and Shilpa is far from over.
Shilpa took Twitter on 21st April in order to absolve herself from the most discussed video of the last year and shared a pornographic video link writing this, “Thank u Jo Mujhe support, Kar Rahe Hain. Those who think am wrong, where were u, when such wrong videos made viral. अपने defense मैं कुछ नहीं बोल सकती क्या? Media took no time in making it viral that time, where r they today? Thanks, SM for giving me a platform to speak the truth.”
Meanwhile, audiences are divided. Some of them took to Twitter to react to Shilpa’s tweet. While some fans are praising Shilpa for her such courageous initiatives using hashtags like #IamwithShilpaShinde, ex-contestant Hina Khan doesn’t seem too impressed. Hina and Shilpa were always at loggerheads in the Bigg Boss 11 house too.
People are familiar with the name of Rocky Jaiswal and Hina Khan who had criticized Shilpa Shinde when she had tweeted the link to the adult video featuring her lookalike. Now, Shilpa again took a serious action for making the buzz false what was viral in the last year. She gave a befitting response to the duo also.
Rocky was one of the first celebrities who jumped in to share his views. He wrote, “@ShindeShilpaS whatever happened with u is unfortunate n u have a right to Spk abt it but I ask u, do u have a proof of consent of the woman in this video that u can post it? If she’s the imposter u claim why don’t u go Legal instead of promoting porn on Sm being a responsible celeb?”
Hina also came quickly to rescue Rocky by tweeting: “Sad..anyone’s fans or regular trolls may get away by saying anything on SM but as a public figure we get a power to be able to reach to millions with just one tweet and at least we should be very careful n responsible. Especially in these times, real life is not a reality show!”
Virat Kohli has thanked Sachin Tendulkar after the latter wrote the profile of the current Indian cricket team skipper in TIME’s 100 most influential people list, on Friday.
Kohli is one of the only two sportsperson outside of the USA to feature in this illustrious list. Kohli took to social media to thank Tendulkar and he wrote: “Thank you @sachin_rt paaji for such warm and encouraging words. Truly honored for being able to make it to the @Time’s 100 list. #Times100 #grateful.”
Earlier, Sachin had heaped praise on the Kohli in his profile and he had written: “The U-19 World Cup in 2008 was very important for India, as it would define the next bunch of youngsters who would go on to represent the nation. That was the first time I watched this young, passionate player lead India.
“Today Virat Kohli is a household name and a champion in cricket. Even back then, his hunger for runs and consistency was remarkable, something that has become the hallmark of his game.”
“Every sportsman knows what it’s like to have good spells and bad ones too. Virat took the criticism he faced during a disappointing West Indies series and returned home with a goal: to improve not only his technique, but also his fitness level. He’s never looked back.”
“My father always told me that if I focused on what I was doing, over time, detractors would become followers. Virat seems to have a similar outlook when it comes to his game.
“I wish him all the best for his career ahead and am confident he will continue to bring pride and glory to India through cricket. Go Virat!”.
MS Dhoni produced one the finest innings of his IPL career, almost getting CSK over the line vs KXIP, all this with a back injury.
While Gayle took on the CSK bowling, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal chipped in with some valuable runs. Later, CSK were struggling at 56/3 during the chase when Ambati Rayudu and Dhoni took on the responsibility on themselves and stitched a partnership. Rayudu was eventually run out by R Ashwin’s perfect throw to the batting end for 49. The match went down to the last over where they needed 17 runs. Mohit Sharma who was given the ball defended these runs successfully.
The Super Kings needed as many as 76 off the last 30 balls and Dhoni got his team almost over the line with an innings comprising six fours and five sixes.
The ex-India captain’s effort was lauded by cricket enthusiasts, former and present cricketers, who took to Twitter to sing praises for the 36-year-old.
All ended up in Punjab’s favour yet the fans were delighted with MS Dhoni’s furious knock so If you guys too loved Dhoni’s performance then do share your views on the same.
Well, this is not the first time, Mandira Bedi was trolled by haters.
Mandira Bedi posted a picture of herself in a bikini from her Goa holiday earlier this week and do we need to spell out the repercussion or have you been able to guess it already. On the comments section of the post, Mandira has been censured severely for her attire. Folks slut-shamed Mandira and posted vile comments, condemning her for denouncing “Indian Culture.” The 45-year-old actress expected ‘happy vibes only’ as suggested by her hashtag but the opposite of it is what happened online.
Well, this is not the first time, Mandira was trolled by haters. She was slut-shamed even in the past when she had posted a picture of hers in a bikini during a vacation in Phuket earlier this year.
A number of haters shamed her for posting pictures in a bikini but then her fans give befitting responses to them by supporting her.
I had enough cases of men judging me for entering their territory but it was largely face to face, so I had a chance to give it back to them,” Mandira said in a statement. The actress says things have changed in the digital era.
She said: “Now things have changed because, with social media, anonymity comes to their rescue. But what I have experienced over these years is that Indian men are cowards. “Usually, I don’t pay attention to such comments because on one hand I have women who call me their inspiration and on the other hand I have body shaming comments by men.”
She expressed her views on MTV Troll Police.
“Even though I prefer to ignore it but at times, it is very disturbing to read such comments especially with the kind of language trolls use. It feels like an assault. The behaviour of these trolls is stemming from the poor upbringing where women are objectified and confined inside the four walls,” she added.
If you also support Mandira Bedi then do share your views why you are in favour of her and if not comment the same too in the below comment section.
