Sushma Swaraj Will Now Consult Volcanoes of Indonesia

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, known for keeping in touch with people over Twitter, had everyone in splits when she said she will need to consult a volcano in Indonesia in response to an Indian’s query asking if the government has any advisory for tourists visiting the Southeast Asian nation.

Mount Agung in Indonesia’s Bali island, a popular tourist destination for Indians, erupted on July 3.

Since June 28, Indonesia’s Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation said the eruption had lasted under two minutes, with the plume has recorded increased volcanic activity from the mountain, which has erupted several times with different intensities since late last year.

The eruption of Agung led to the closure of three airports, including the one in Bali, affecting 446 flights and stranded more than 74,000 passengers.

The Indonesian archipelago is located on the so-called Ring of Fire in the Pacific, an area of great seismic and volcanic activity, that records thousands of mostly small to moderate tremors every year.

The Chinese Troops Are Back In Doklam!

China has quietly resumed its activities in the Doklam area and neither Bhutan nor India has sought to dissuade it, a top US official has said while comparing Beijing’s actions in the Himalayan region with its manoeuvres in the disputed South China Sea.

China claims sovereignty over all of South China Sea. Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan have counter claims.

China is engaged in hotly contested territorial disputes in both the South China Sea and the East China Sea. Beijing has built up and militarised many of the islands and reefs it controls in the region. Both areas are stated to be rich in minerals, oil and other natural resources and are also vital to global trade.

India and China have clashed repeatedly over territories in the Himalayas. Most recently Chinese and Indian troops faced off on the disputed Doklam plateau between Bhutan and China after the Chinese People’s Liberation Army began building roads through the area

Troops of India and China were locked in a 73-day-long standoff in Doklam from June 16 last year after the Indian side stopped the building of a road in the disputed tri-junction by the Chinese Army.

Bhutan and China have a dispute over Doklam. The face-off ended on August 28

Women Fails To Produce Documents, Initially Played Religion Card

It is certainly clear that feminism and religion are being used as catalysts by some citizens to take advantage and blind fold the system. Manipulation has become easier in the present context with media giving priorities to issues that derogate the system.

The country recently witnessed a Dramatic outrage of a woman while she accused a passport officer of harassing her while she was asked to change her religion and name. In a series of tweets to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Tanvi Seth narrated the incident and asked her to intervene. The officer was transferred. She even called it a case of moral policing.

However in a recent series of events, it was reported that there was no legal evidence of the woman getting her name endorsed on the marriage certificate, which was pointed out by the passport officer. It could be a possibility that the woman knowingly played victim on social media to draw attention and take advantage of the situation said an officer on the request of anonymity.

Married in 2007 to Anas Siddique, Tanvi seth grew outrageous and took the upper hand, the incident spread like wildfire in the nation and like always, feminists and stakeholders came out in a large numbers to support the offensive stance of the woman.

Recent incidents have stated that government is giving up to the growing pressure of social media and officers and bureaucrats are the hidden victims. Within one hour of this incident, the involved officer was transferred without any investigation.

The question that strikes the system at its core, is the effect of social media in the legal proceedings, the road less travelled by is witnessing a rush hour and this is a threat to democracy all over the globe.

Just a month ago, Mallika Sherawat made news when she was asked by her landlord in Paris, French, to vacate her home after she failed to pay the rent. “I had a blast partying with Paris. She is such a great person and so much fun to be with. We loved talking about her work and she was very interested in the projects I was involved with. She showed me her beautiful 10-carat pear-shaped engagement ring and I absolutely loved it.”

Last month, Mallika had also reached out to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, urging her to help facilitate the Indian visa for Evelien Holsken, co-founder of the Dutch NGO Free-A-Girl. Sushma Swaraj rescues Russian national found begging at Kancheepuram

Generally, we come across the beggars begging for alms at the temple entrance, rarely we witness any foreign travellers travelling to India in the same scene unless they want to try the shoe of theirs.

In a situation, a Russian man was found begging at the entrance of Sri Kumarakottam Murugan temple in Tamil Nadu’s Kancheepuram on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old, who identified as A. Evangelin, hold a valid passport and visa and had arrived in Kancheepuram on Tuesday morning from Chennai. In need of the money, he visited the ATM kiosk near the Kumarakottam temple where he reportedly entered the wrong PIN, getting his ATM card locked. An apparently frustrated Evangelin sat at the entrance of the temple along with other destitute, begging for alms at the temple entrance, reports The Hindu.

Noticing this unusual event, devotees informed the police of the development. The police brought him to the station and perused his travel documents.

According to the Deccan Chronicle, the Russian ran out of money which led him to sit near temple begging for alms.

“We checked his travel documents, passport and visa. All documents are perfectly valid. He had spent all his money and was not sure how to reach Chennai,” a police officer told Deccan Chronicle. The police gave him Rs 500 and put him on a suburban train to Chennai, where he was asked to approach the Russian embassy in the capital city.

When the matter came to the light, the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj quickly instructed the officials at Chennai to provide all the help to the distressed Russian tourist. Taking to Twitter, Swaraj hailed Russia as a time-tested friend and assured all help to him.

The minister has long used social media to come to the aid of those in need of help, including those living across the border. Notedly, she is the most followed woman political leader on Twitter.

Esha wrote: “the State of Emergency in Saint Marteen. Request for evacuation of Indians from the life threating island. Sushma Swaraj

Dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi,

I am writing to you on behalf of thousands of Indians to request the Indian government and Indian Embassy to urgently intensify efforts to protect the thousands of Indian families who are badly stuck in the life threatening situation and are forced to face the armed rebellion by the locals and give up their lives on the island of Saint Marteen which has been completely devastated by the wrath of Hurricane Irma.

Post the enormous destruction caused by Hurricane Irma, the entire island is being looted by the locals. Adding to the same, the local people have robbed the arms and ammunitions from the customs house and are on the door to door spree to loot the Indian families, rape our Indian women and kill our kids. There is not enough help from the local security to save the lives of many Indians on the island from the ferocity of locals.

We fully recognize that the government has had to cope with multiple, profound crises in a short period of time but as the number of people forced from their homes continues to grow, so also does the urgency of evacuating our Indian families.

We have also learnt that the United states government has already allotted their military planes to evacuate the Americans from the island. Also if we can request United states government to help in the evacuation of our families too.We request you to please look into the matter urgently and please save the lives of our nationals.

Looking for the positive and prompt response.”

Questioned About His Wife’s Salary On Twitter, Sushma Swaraj’s Husband Had An Epic Response

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s husband, Swaraj Kaushal, is an acknowledged master of the Twitter repartee.

When a Twitter user asked him about his wife’s salary, Kaushal gave a bang on answer.

He said: ‘Never ask a woman her age, and a man his salary’. The advice rests on the idea that the man is the family breadwinner and, for a woman, her looks are paramount.

With his witty response, Kaushal just taught the world some important manners.

The former governor of Mizoram is often flooded with tweets — some requesting him to talk to Sushma to unblock them on her Twitter timeline and others asking him to pass along messages to her. Kaushal is always ready with a witty response.

Once, he was asked why doesn’t follow his wife on Twitter, to which he replied, “Because I am not stranded in Libya or Yemen.”

When a ‘concerned’ and ‘possesive’ gentleman questioned when Kaushal had last met his wife, he said:

People simply love and enjoy his tweets.

All the best Sushma Swaraj for your Kidney surgery today.

The scheduled kidney transplant of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is ongoing right now. According to media reports, the doctors performing the transplant are AIIMS director MC Misra, VK Bansal, and Sandeep Agarwal — all prominent surgeons of the country.

According to the hospital authorities, the organ for Sushma Swaraj’s transplant was being harvested from a living unrelated donor. The clearance from the authorisation committee has been obtained.
Apart from the surgeons, who will be performing the transplant surgery, a team of doctors from other departments have also been constituted to monitor the health of Ms. Swaraj — a severe diabetic.

Earlier the possibility of having Ms. Swaraj’s daughter as a potential donor was turned down by the doctors as she too was a severe diabetic and a patient of obesity. Doctors also said that Ms. Swaraj was undergoing dialysis whenever required.

On November 16, Ms. Swaraj tweeted that she was in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Since then people around the nation are praying for her speedy recovery. The 64-year-old, who has been in and out of the hospital for last few months, was admitted to AIIMS on November 7.

We at NewsLeakCentre wishes for her speedy recovery, and may she’ll be back on the office to help people in needs.
