Super Man Hritik to play the role of math wizard Anand

Get ready to see your heart-throbbing actor Hrithik Roshan in a fresh new avatar. Here, the ‘Greek-God’ is all set to play the role of math genius Anand Kumar in the Vikas Bahl-directed biopic on the Super 30 founder.

Making sure he captures the true spirit of Kumar’s life, the biopic will witness the actor in a ‘nerd-look’ wearing a pair of cool glasses.

Doing their individual homework, the director-actor duo had also drawn together the relevant study material referring to the biopic.

Earlier the movie witnessed a tug-of-war between the two best friends of producers, Madhu Mantena and Priti Sinha with their respective favourites, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar.

Hritik also had met Anand Kumar at his Juhu residence when the latter visited Mumbai last month to film a special episode for Amitabh Bachchan’s game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Confirming that Hrithik will be slipping into his shoes, this biopic will essay the Patna-based Anand Kumar who in a strive to educate the poverty-ridden meritorious students to crack JEE, the entrance examination for the Indian Institute of Technology. The praiseworthy initiative by Anand was undertaken in 2002 to coach the handpicked troop of 30 brilliant under-privileged students.

The math wizard made what it seems to be impossible in a real-life when 18 students cracked the exam in the initial year elevating the count to 22 and 28 in 2004 and 2006 whereas, in 2008 and 2009, it was a catastrophe clean sweep. Now, Kumar’s Ramanujan School of Mathematics is competing on the international platform and is among the world’s four most innovative schools.

The 21st century Ramanujan has recently announced to expand his wing. Taking his initiative further, mother Jayanti Devi cooks meals for this bunch of young innovators.

Expressing how privileged he feels, director Vikas says, “Truth, they say, is stranger than fiction and so is Anand’s life story!”

Who can forget The Amitabh Bachchan’s lines ‘Deviyon aur sajjano” in his very popular game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati?” KBC is one game show that has captured the audience’s attention for years now. The 8th season of the show ended back in 2014, and since then the viewers are eagerly waiting to watch their favourite show.

And here is some good news for KBC fan. KBC is all set to occupy the prime time slot as the makers of the show gear for its ninth season.

The big news for the viewers are, this time audience will experience a major change. The makers of the show are playing a gamble replacing its host, Amitabh Bachchan, with the new female host. The big surprise is that Big B is going to replace with his own Daughter-in-Law Aishwarya rai Bachchan. Reportedly, Madhuri Dixit Nene has been approached for the same.

Sources says, “Mr Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya is among those who has been approached to take over as quiz master for season nine. The channel is in talks with both Madhuri and Aishwarya” and when their spokesperson asked they refrained from commenting on the same.

If this would happen, or the makers of KBC is going to do this big change in the show, that would be a different experience for viewers to accept the first female host of the show. On the Other side, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan headed to Cannes along with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Mrs Bachchan will be walking the red carpet on May 19 and May 20.

“Kaun Banega Crorepati” which is modelled on the UK game show ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ is one of the most popular and watched Indian TV reality show which has garnered many of the Indian audiences in years that followed.   • Harshwardhan Nawathe (Won 1cr in season 1 in 2000): At the time of contesting KBC, he was preparing for Civil Service Exam. However, he did not sit for the CSE exam and later pursued MBA from a university in the UK. Currently, he is married works with Mahindra & Mahindra.



  • Ravi Mohan Saini (Won 1cr in season 1 of KBC Junior in 2001): At a tender age of just 14 years, this boy becomes a multi-millionaire and a won prize of Rs 1cr. His interest in knowing things led him to crack the Civil Services Exam and joined the Indian Police Service.



  • Rahat Taslim (Won 1Cr in season 4, 2010): Coming from a conservative family with little financial support, this lady was the first to becomes “crorepati.” A simple housewife of Giridih, Jharkhand may have never thought that her journey will also lead her to become the winner of KBC. With the prize she won, she had opened a garment showroom in a shopping mall in Giridih which is doing well.




  • Sushil Kumar (Won 5Cr in season 5, 2011): He is the first among the contestant who won the highest amount in KBC i.e 5Cr. He used to work as a computer operator under the MNREGA scheme at a meagre income of 6k per month before taking part in the show. Though there were many rumours surrounding that he is broke and had left with no money and is unemployed. He has few shops in his name in his hometown Motihari and a business in the national capital. He had also engaged himself with social work by adopting 40 children of Naxal affected area and educated them.



  • Summit Kaur (Won 5Cr in season 6 held in 2012): She wanted to become the fashion designer but because of her in-laws, she wasn’t able to do so. She tried her hands in tiffin service, but it didn’t do well either as she met with an accident and was bedridden for 6 months. But destiny had decided something better for her, she won the KBC and went on to become what she wanted. Now, she has a fashion house with a partner which is operating till now.



  • Taj Mohammad Rangrej (Won 1Cr in the season, 2013): He was the first contestant of season 7 who won the winning prize of 1Cr. Before participating, he was a history teacher. After winning the game, he utilised the money in his daughter’s treatment for partial vision impairment, bought a house and founded the marriage of two orphaned girls, a pretty humanitarian act.




  • Achin Narula and Sarthak Narula(Won 7Cr in season 8, 2014): After being rejected for 10 times, they did not lose hope and finally ended up winning the title. They utilised it in the cancer treatment of their mother and started their own business and are currently operating the same.
