This monitoring would be carried out for 15 days to check how levels of such metals shoot up during the post-Diwali period.
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) began monitoring concentration of harmful metals, including barium, iron and aluminium, in the air from Thursday.
This monitoring would be carried out for 15 days to check how levels of such metals shoot up during the post-Diwali period.
The concentration of some of these toxic metals such as barium has been found to shoot up by at least nine times above the safe standards a day after Diwali. The roads are covered with a white layer of aluminium dust.
“Exposure to high levels of aluminium and barium fumes can aggravate cardiac and respiratory ailments such as asthma and COPD. Aluminium dust can trigger dermatitis too,” said Nawal K Vikram, professor of medicine, AIIMS.
“This is for the first time that concentration of metals is being monitored by DPCC and that too for a period of 15 days. Earlier, only common pollutants such as particulate matter, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide among others were measured,” said a DPCC scientist.
After a pair of risky purple co-words, Sonam Kapoor is back on the runway in a stunning purple lehenga. With intricate gold detailing, it’s time to ditch those pinks and reds this wedding season.
Looking for your one-stop fashion inspiration? Always look out for Sonam Kapoor and her phenomenal style sensibilities. Whether it’s her hairstyles or her stylish looks from the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, Bollywood’s Neerja understands fashion like no one else. Apart from revamping the way we look at airport fashion. Sonam walked the ramp in New Delhi in a plum lehenga. With ultra-violet being the Pantone colour of the year, it comes as no surprise that Sonam opted for this stunning creation by Jayati Reddy.
The fashionista opted for a heavily embroidered ghera, with intricate gold hand-work that she teamed with a simple royal purple choli with elaborately embroidered sleeves. But it’s the dupatta’s simplicity that makes the ensemble so graceful and elegant. With nothing but embroidery on the borders, this Jayati Reddy creation is a dream for every bride-to-be.
Where exactly does the Congress stand in Delhi? Is it the so-called fulcrum of the incipient anti-BJP alliance that’s going to take on Narendra Modi in the next election? Or, is it the B-team of the BJP, an opportunistic party plying its politics on the old principle of an enemy’s enemy being a friend?
The current stance of the Congress on the ongoing tussle between the AAP government and the Centre underlines its philosophy of supporting the BJP when it suits its objectives—either by echoing its voice or through silence—even if it means jettisoning the Opposition for its own political gains.
The Congress is trying to forge an alliance with regional parties by calling the BJP a “threat to democratic institutions.” It has given a call for unity claiming the BJP has no respect for democratically elected rivals and is out to destroy the country’s federal structure. If the Congress really believed its rhetoric, Delhi would have been an ideal case for standing up for the AAP, democracy and federalism. But, the Congress—adept at opportunism, U-turns and compromises that suit its politics—has preferred to either castigate the Delhi chief minister or remain silent.
Its reaction has been limited to calling Kejriwal’s dharna a “drama” to distract from the water crisis in Delhi. However, it has not said a word about the validity of Kejriwal’s demands, the allegations of strike and non-cooperation by bureaucrats. Its leaders have not said a single word about the legality of the decision of the IAS officers to not attend meetings of the Delhi government, thus bringing it to a standstill. In short, it has not taken an ideological stand based on the merits of the case, thus supporting a status quo that helps the BJP.
But, if other regional parties are watching closely, they should notice two things about the Congress. One, it will swing from one ideological position to another, depending on what serves its interests more. Two, it will try its best to destroy a regional party that could become a future challenge, even if it implies singing the BJP’s tune.
Has it become a trend among these crowd controllers to engage in astonishing activities? Not much time has passed since the ‘RAM RAHIM’ incidence which spread like wildfire in the country and yet another ‘messenger of god’ has been reported to sin.
Dati madan maharaj, a man who has been the center of female and social welfare activities carried out under his trust, Shree Shanidham trust was reported by his female disciple who assaulted rape charges against him. She has accused him of raping her two years ago and then harassing her in his temple Shanidham near chattarpur.
However irony lies in the past activities of the man, for years he had been linked with women empowerment as he celebrated his birthday as a day to prevent female feticide. Also politically renounced daati maharaj shares connection with major leaders of BJP including party president amit shah who visited shani dham not less than two months ago and yogi adityanath. Sources have revealed that he was about to be introduced in rajya sabha but revolving around controversies has made it seem impossible for him now. Sources have also reported that he is planning to flee the country.
39-year-old Virendra Sehwag will soon be seen as a part of BJP from New Delhi seat. He will be taking over MP Meenakshi Lekhi’s seat from New Delhi and will be appointed as the new member of Parliament before 2019 elections.
A source close to Virendra Sehwag revealed NLC, “There is a discussion going on and Sehwag is in a constant touch with the members of BJP and at any moment he will officially join BJP from New Delhi Seat in 2019 elections.”
Now this is not a surprising one as Sehwag many a time before has tweeted in support of BJP. Remember Gurmehar Kaur’s incident. Here is a tweet which proves that he supported BJP since way back:
Sources also revealed that party people are not happy with the sitting MP of BJP Meenakshi Lekhi and she can be removed from her post anytime. People are not satisfied with her work performance and thus, she has to quit BJP anytime. Some tweets prove why this step has been taken regarding BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi. Have a look:
Many people of political world trolled her and tweeted back the Delhi MP. Look here:
So, it is quite obvious that BJP has set all plans to remove Meenakshi Lekhi from the party and giving their New Delhi seat to Virendra Sehwag.
The time will tell everything and for more such interesting leaks stay connected to NLC.

Himmat Singh, who had a fifty in the first essay, was bowled by off-spinner Akshay Wakhare before he could open his account.
And then came a reckless shot by skipper Rishabh Pant (32), an attempted heave off Siddhesh Neral leading to his dismissal as Delhi ran out of batting options. This was an over after Pant was let off by Wadkar, who missed an easy stumping chance.

The meeting between Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Lalu’s son Tejashwi Yadav took a little time, had it been earlier, they would have together saved the Bihar’s political power shift to Nitish Kumar. But today, it’s just the food for social media as Tejashwi Yadav tweeted photos of his lunch with Rahul Gandhi.
The two leaders dined at a restaurant in Delhi’s posh Khan Market area and reportedly discussed the current political scenario during the 90-minute lunch.
“Thank you @OfficeOfRG for taking me out for wonderful lunch. Feel appreciated and grateful. Again thanks for taking out time out of ur tight schedule (sic),” Yadav tweeted.
Tejashwi Yadav is in the capital to join the ongoing investigation related to the hotel deals-for-land case in which RJD leader and his mother Rabri Devi have been accused of acquiring land in exchange for awarding of IRCTC contracts during his father Lalu Yadav was Railway Minister.
The fresh allegations of corruption had led to the RJD and Congress losing power in Bihar in July when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar pulled his JD(U) out of the Mahagathbandhan and returned to the BJP-led NDA.
