Pidi’s paw-some Namaste to all political functionaries!

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s tweet on pup Pidi has flickered fight on twitter engaging many political functionaries.

The cuteness overload video clip was uploaded in reply to all the critics who pointed fingers in his sudden popularity surge on twitter.

The 14-second clip shows how Mr Rahul is heard tutoring his pet, Pidi.
Doing a paw-some “Namaste,” Pidi shows venerable obedience. The cute pup excels the training session abide by the master standing up on its haunches.
He also poises a cookie on its nose and disappears at the spur-of-the-moment. Pleased master, Rahul yells “good boy”!

Accompanying the tweet comes to a sardonic mention where the Congress vice-president hit back against all his rumormongers for passing uncharitable remarks at his recent displays of witticisms on social media.

Known for his wit, Mr Rahul twitted that his pet is behind those tweets; this sarcastic tweet video caught immediate attention including the former Congressperson and current Assam BJP minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma. Responding to that, the minister recognised the pet.

In an interview, Sarma voiced that Rahul kept feeding when he sought to discuss political issues before the assembly polls in 2016.

Crafting it as a troll subject, here’s how political personalities have reacted to his tweet:

However, this seems to be no easy digest for political functionaries.

Finally someone made sense in the Kangana -Hrithik spat

Hrithik, who chose to remain silent over the entire controversy with Kangana for a while finally opened up on Thursday by issuing statements describing his side of the story and revealing a few details that the public was unaware about. Here’s the Hrithik’s statement-

Among all this, Hrithtik also appeared for an interview on Republic TV. Here’s the full interview-

And a day after he appeared on Republic TV, for his first ever interview over his spat with Kangana Ranaut, actor Farhan Akhtar penned down an open letter appealing everyone to not take sides or jump into a conclusion in the matter until the truth prevails.

Without naming the two involved parties, the 43-year-old actor, who also co-starred with Hrithik in ZNMD(Zindagi na milegi dobara) expressed his worries and concerns over some sections of media who treated the case in an unfair way by only pushing one side of the story without any evidence of the claims made by the actress.

“Some of our most reputed journalists have, consciously or unconsciously, pushed one side of the narrative without having or presenting any evidence to back the claims being made by the woman. They’ve accepted her story at face value.
Isn’t this discriminating against the other party?”

Farhan further mentioned that being an initiator of MARD foundation in 2013, he’s aware of a few cases where men were stalked, harassed and falsely accused.

Farhan further highlighted a series of events where Kangana’s case in the matter seemed weak against Hrithik and concluded the post by urging people to stop vilifying the actor on the basis of unsubstantiated statements.  If a woman was to receive these sort of emails from a man and she claimed harassment, what would your immediate reaction be?
Would you have given the man the benefit of doubt by believing him if he said they were in a relationship and she had hacked into his computer and sent herself the mails..?
Chances are you wouldn’t.

This is what he posted on Facebook:

Supporting and agreeing to what Farhan said, celebrities like Sonam Kapoor and Yami Gautam also re-tweeted his post on their Twitter account.

For over a year now, we had only heard Kangana Ranaut narrating her side of the story and Rakesh Roshan who’s been backing and speaking up in public for his son Hrithik in the on-going spat between both the actors.

Following his move, several Bollywood celebrities including Twinkle Khanna and Dia Mirza came out in his support.

Last year, the actor had sent a legal notice to the actress for allegedly maligning his image by calling him her “silly ex” in an interview. Kangana didn’t stop there and made many serious allegations against Hrithik.

In April this year, he even filed a police complaint against the actress accusing her of sending explicit emails, stalking and hounding him.

Times Now Referred ‘Kerala’ as ‘Pakistan’. Why?? ‘The Nation Wants To Know’

Being a journalist, you deal with the ticking bomb, which will go off if we fail to deliver the news ‘first.’ And with the news going on air should be correct with facts and holds the validity on the ground. But, in the country like Indian, where people are news starving, the stress increases manifold times, which results in the performance of the person and would do mistake which would hit the organisations image hard.

In a recent of the blunder, a news channel has become now become the news story for the news channel. Times Now, an English news channel, is seen making the news again. Not because of Arnab Goswami’s exit from the news channel, but with the news credibility it has now.

In a recent of the news fiasco, the channel referred ‘Kerala’ as ‘Pakistan’ on live TV. The news channel, while reporting on the beef ban row and BJP President Amit Shah’s subsequent three-day visit to Kerala on Friday, had run a headline saying Shah “Heads to Thundery Pakistan”.

Agitated by the news, and seeing the blunder they have done, the channel does run a corrigendum apologising for the mistake they have caused.

The corrigendum said, running “Times Now regrets an inadvertent error reported on the channel on June 2, 2017, regarding Amit Shah’s visit to Kerala. Instead of Kerala, the word Pakistan was inadvertently typed. Times Now once again regrets the error which may have hurt sentiments.”

The shot was fired and the damage was done. It was enough to irk the netizens to take hold the ground on the same, and soon the hashtag “#TimesCow” and “TimesNow” starts to trend on Twitter. Here are some reactions:

And this not the fist time Times Now had made the blunder. Earlier, in a race to take the credit for the news, the channel run a watermark “First on Times Now” while the mic was of other channel. See Rahul Kanwal tweet:

Times Now files theft case against Arnab Goswami !

Arnab Goswami led Republic is getting into new controversy day by day after making two big exposes one where Republic broadcasted  audio tapes of conversation between former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and Shahabuddin and another of  conversation between Sridevi who was a former news reporter for Times Now, and Sunanda Pushkar.

Owing to this employers of Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd filed a complaint accusing Goswami and reporter of Republic TV Prema Sridevi of copyright infringement.

A complaint has been filed at the Azad Maidan Police Station in Mumbai accused the journalists of theft, criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of property and infringement of IPR of BCCL. The contention in the complaint was that the duo used material belonging to Times Now on their new media venture Republic TV on multiple occasions on May 6 and May 8, 2017.

As per Economic Times  in its complaint, BCCL has said those audio tapes were “procured and accessed” by former Editor-In-Chief of Times Now Goswami and Sridevi while they were employed with Times Now.

Earlier also BCCL had sent a legal notice to Republic over the issue of using the phrase- “Nation Wants to Know”.

Media Wars!! Media Barons Accuses Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV For Foul Play

The new entrant in tv journalism, Republic, has been in the news before it even officially launched. And why it won’t garner all the controversy? After all, it’s been launched by the controversial man of all time, Arnab Goswami.

Since the beginning, Republic has been in the news and most of the time for all the wrong reasons. From being funded by BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar to allegedly taking side for the particular political party, Republic TV had stolen the entire spotlight.

In the new controversy that is surfacing, the News Broadcasters Association (NBA) has alleged that the recently launched Republic TV is resorting to unethical distribution tactics to garner high viewership numbers.

In a letter to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the NBA has claimed that Arnab Goswami’s channel is running multiple feeds on various multi-system operators’ (MSO) platforms. This is for the first time that NBA has singularly pointed out a channel for alleged trade-related malpractices. A copy of the letter has been accessed by

The letter has mentioned that the channel has been listed at multiple locations across different genres in the electronic programme guide (EPG) of various MSOs and other distributors on multiple logical channel numbers (LCNs).

Usually, such cases come out in the public and the complaints are filed only after viewership data is released for the time and when a channel had run on multiple frequencies. This is possibly the first time a complaint has been lodged at the time of implementing multiple feeds.

This might be because Republic TV has been in the limelight much before it was launched on May 6.

A few recent examples of channels being aired at multiple slots include the rebranding of India Today TV (from Headlines Today) when India Today TV and Times Now were both running on multiple feeds. During the last budget, ET Now had filed a complaint against CNBC TV18, claiming their budget viewership was because of dual frequency feeds.

The current complaint letter against Republic mentions the TRAI notification related to Telecommunications (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Interconnection (Addressable Systems) Regulations, 2017 dated March 3, 2017, which stated that “It shall be mandatory for the distributor to place channels in the EPG, in such a way that the television channels of the same genre are placed together consecutively and one channel appears at only one place.”

The issue of genre classification is also mentioned in the consultation paper, ‘Tariff Issues related to TV subscribers’.

The complaint letter has termed the acts of Republic TV as illegal and in clear violation of the regulations. It has also requested TRAI to take action as otherwise, it will encourage other broadcasters to get into an unhealthy competition mode, thereby trying to list their channels in as many as eight genres (as mentioned in the regulations).

It is also pointed out that the act is also misleading for the viewers and the advertisers.

A highly placed source at Republic TV, on condition of anonymity, said, “Times Now has been doing this for years, and so have other channels. As we speak, they are running dual feeds on many major distribution networks, including Hathway, Indian Cable Net Company Limited (ICNCL), SCOD and a few others.”

As per data from Chrome Data and Analytics, Republic TV’s dual/ triple feed was spotted in 171 cities across the country, with maximum push in the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand markets.

Arnab Goswami, MS Dhoni And Gurmeet Ram Rahim Names Strike Down From The List Of Padma Awards.

The center cut shots the number of names of famous personalities from the list of Padam awards. The names turned down from the list includes famous TV journalist Arnab Goswami, the Indian Cricket Team Captain, MS Dhoni, controversial spiritual leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and tabla maestro Zakir Hussain as reported by an English Daily.

Many prominent names were stroked down during the initial stages of awarding the second highest civilian award; the Padma Vibhushan includes the Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar and veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, the newspaper reported.

Officials told to an English Daily that the two were awarded under the “public affairs” category, which falls under the government’s discretion, but didn’t mention who nominated them.

Other names that were taken off from the list includes journalist, Arnab Goswami, Biju Janata Dal MP Baijayant Panda and music composer Anu Malik.

The Padma awards are expected to be conferred by the President at ceremonial functions held at Rashtrapati Bhavan later this year. The year, President Pranab Mukherjee approved names of 89 recipients of the awards which include seven Padma Vibhushan, seven Padma Bhushan and 75 Padma Shri awards.

The maximum nominations were received for the controversial chief of the Dera Sacha Sauda Gurmeet Ram Rahim who has starred in three movies, English Daily.

In the past, many actors and politicians have raised the authentication on the awards distribution. Famous Bollywood actor Anupam Kher had also questioned the awards list, in a tweet he said, “Awards in our country have become the mockery of our system. There is NO authenticity left in any of them. Be it films, National or now PADMA.” However, he changes his stance after getting awarded Padma Bhushan.

The search committee, set up to screen the nominations, comprised the cabinet secretary, secretary to the President, additional principal secretary to the prime minister, home secretary, actor Waheeda Rehman, journalist and MP Dr. Harivansh; political analyst S Gurumurthy; and, badminton player turned coach Pullela Gopichand among others, the English DSaily said.

Calm down folks! Not everything you see on the Internet is true.

What a wonderful place an Internet for us. It provides us information that was not at all possible earlier and then the time came when it becomes easier for media websites to upload fake news in it. And when the era is click baiting then who cares about the authenticity of the sources, right? Because click-baiting is more important now than the actual news itself, generating clicks matters not news.

Recently post an article on Manipal University and how they released a letter to urging the student to not ‘Masturbate’ in the bathroom of the campus as it ‘clogs the shower drains’. Though the image looks fake and there are dozens of ‘Masturbatory Letters by College Administration Urging Students to Masturbate on Dorm Room’ you can found on the Internet. The website still published an article on it.

Take a look:

Not long ago, fake pictures of Saif Ali Khan And Kareena Kapoor baby Taimur Ali Khan fake pictures went viral on the Internet. The most trusted Bollywood website and news channel Zoom made a big blunder about it. They were the first one who tweeted the fake picture on twitter. Being a website solely dedicated to Bollywood, they would have looked the images twice and should have confirmed its authenticity.

Also, the case which comes in mind is Sudhir Chaudhary infamous ‘Nano Chips’ news, from his show ‘DNA’. The editor went on talking about How new 500 and 2000 rupees will have ‘Nano Chips’ installed with them. Though, we all know by now the new notes didn’t have any of those new features in it.

And who can forget how much Times now supported Jasleen Kaur in Jasleen Kaur Vs Sarvjeet Singh case? Without knowing the actual story then Times Now Editor In Chief Arnab Goswami used words like Pervert and Filthy for Sarvjeet and refused to apologise later for his remarks too. And, also take a look at this video.

This all incidents taught us one thing that in this era it’s much more important to win the race rather than making some efforts about the news.

A new video has emerged on twitter where Arnab’s new ‘Republic’ has been shown as Shahrukh’s new flick ‘Raees’ with the tagline ‘Aa Raha Hu Mai!’

He had announced his resignation from Times Now earlier in November and since then, there were rumours that the journalist is expected to come back with a new concept. All the rumours, however, were put to rest when he told The New Minute about the same.

Reportedly, the venture is expected to go live before Uttar Pradesh elections in 2017 and will be based out of Mumbai. The journalist is currently working on the team.

#NLC Satire: Ever Since Arnab Goswami left ‘The NewsHour’ panellists started hearing their voices on the show too.

Frequent panelists on Times Now’s prime-time debate program, The Newshour, are thankful for the sheer joy of being able to hear their own voice and the overwhelming feelings of being able to complete their sentences fully without being interrupted.

When asking about post-Arnab experience at The Newshour, One panelist told to newsleakcentre . “There is the Youtube video of the deaf baby who is able to hear the human voices, including his own, for the first time, after being fitted with the hearing aide. The baby’s joy is just priceless !!! That is exactly how I felt when I was able to hear my own voice on the Newshour for the first time !!

AAP party member Ashutosh Recounting his earlier experiences on the Arnab era Newshour said, “With the Arnab, I could not hear my own voice and I still used to talk. Once in a while, the audiance wud laugh after I said something and I used to realize that way that I had said something stupid, like filibusting or simply ‘the’ing random people or things. Also, I figured out that I would never really be able to complete any sentence, so I started shortening my sentences to 2-3 words, like in the bank-e-scam episode. Of course, soon later, AAP boycotted the Arnab. Now, thank the God, there is no need for all these struggles !!! The journalism is back in the Times Now !!!”

While being strong opponents in every other topic under the sun, in this regard, however, The Ashutosh found strong consonance from a rival spokesperson, the BJP’s Sambit Patra. “I can fully understand what The Ashu went through and how he must’ve also finally felt yesterday. I too, could often never hear what I myself used to squeal but soon enough, even though the topic would be in our favor, the hot seat would somehow shift to mine and I would often be blasted for something the Congress or the AAP did. Even though I haven’t gone to the post-Arnab Newshour, I can fully feel what The Ashu feels,” Patra added.

According to sources, the Congress party too is mulling a return to The Newshour. “Boy, I can’t wait to return to the Newshour and finally be able to talk about 2002 at length,” a thrilled Congress worker said.
Meanwhile, Arnab is busy working on his new silence free Yoga meditation center.
