Shikhar Dhawan has been released from the India squad for the first three one-day internationals of the five-match series against Australia starting September 17.
Dhawan requested for some time off to attend to his wife Ayesha Mukherjee, who is unwell. Such a sweet gesture by the gabbar of our Indian team who is in a groovy form these days requesting for a leave so as to look after her unwell wife and his family.
Recently, during Sri-Lanka series, he dropped out because his mother was sick
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has, however, decided not to name any replacement for Dhawan with Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul who are already present in the squad. Either of these will be the opening batsman padding up with Rohit Sharma.
Dhawan at the age of 31, has played 90 ODI’s and scored 3779 runs including 11 hundreds.
The love and affection this cricketer has for his family is unconditional. Dhawan as a husband is like a golden gift either for his family or for Indian team. When it comes to responsibility its inevitable him to take good care of his team on the field and off the field for his family.
