Kohli become the 2nd Indian test captain to score five plus tonnes runs in a series

Indian Test Captain Virat Kohli become 2nd Indian test captain to score more than 5 tons runs in a test series after he achieved the fleet on the third day of the fourth Indian-England test series at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Sunil Gavaskar is the successor of Virat Kohli in this record. Gavaskar achieved the feat twice, First against west-Indies in 1978-79 when he scored 732 runs and then in 1981-82 against England when he scored a total of 500 runs.

Virat Kohli went on to score his 15th century during a fourth test match in Wankhede Stadium against England. Out of 15 century, He has scored 7 centuries as an Indian test Captain.

Virat Kohli other Records this year :-

1. First Indian Player to score three 200+ in year calendar of Test cricket. Before this, he has scored 200+ individual score against New Zealand in Indore in October. Earlier this year he had scored one more 200+ individual score against West-Indies tour of Carribean Island in June-July. That was his first double century in Test cricket and now 200+ score against England in current ongoing fourth test match of the series.

2. Virat Kohli equaled the record for the most 150+ score by a captain in a year in Test Cricket by registering his fourth 150+ score against any Team in this year. Kohli is now tied with the former Australian skipper Michael Clark and ex-New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum. Who each has four 150+ score in a year against any team as a captain in Test Cricket.
