India Seen Struggling As The Whole Team Sets Down For 80 Runs

After getting a humiliating defeat in Pune in the first test match, the host, in Bengaluru, is seen struggling to gave back the Kangaroos what they had got. The day 3 of the 2nd test seems to be difficult for the Indian’s to cover the lead of 1-0.

Leading the scorecard on day 3 of the 2nd test, the Indian Cricket Team had failed to fight back and leads the scorecard by just 187 runs. Bangalore’s M. Chinnaswamy stadium witness the valiant batting from Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane’s, which helped turn the tide in India’s favour. The duo set up an unbeaten 108-runs stand for the fifth wicket, taking India’s lead to 188 runs and their second innings total to 274 all out.

But the duo’s run chase can’t help India much, as the whole team is out for 80 runs. The middle order breaks down just like the heap of cards as Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood created havoc. With 274 in the second innings to set 188-run target for the visitors.

The highest score total chased by the visiting team has been 194 in this ground and looking at the pitch, it will not be easy for the Aussies to achieve the target. In the morning, India fought back as Ajinkya Rahane completed his 11th half century who is supported by Pujara. Both contributed to taking India’s total to 108 runs for the fifth wicket.

Here’s how it fell:

238-5: Rahane
238-6: Nair
242-7: Pujara
246-8: Ashwin
258-9: Umesh
274-10: Ishant
