“A great person always adores other great personality.” The phrase got well-proven recently, when the greatest cricketer of all time, Kapil Dev during an event said, “Hardik Pandya is much better than me.”
The event held in New Delhi Wednesday witnessed a shower of praises by the former leading cricketer.
Elevating the heights of admirers, the Haryana Hurricane, Dev narrated how he feels about Pandya. Speaking to the media, Dev stated, “He is an incredible talent. But fitness is a factor need to be taken care of.”
He further goes into raptures over Pandya, expressing that an all-rounder has to work the hardest in the team as he is expected to perform with bat and ball.
Captained the Indian victor team of 1983 Cricket World Cup, Kapil Dev picked up 434 wickets in Tests and 253 wickets in ODIs which made him consider one of the unsurpassed fast bowlers and all-rounder in the world during his playing days.
Dev, who is among the tons of great names also spoke about the current Indian team and pronounced why the Mumbai batting sensation Prithvi Shaw shouldn’t be compared to Sachin Tendulkar.
The comment comes amidst the ongoing India vs. Australia match, 2017 where Pandya has been the x-factor face of the series with two fifties and five wickets in the last three matches.
“Pandya is no qualm a great player but it’s too early to pressurize him. Creating unnecessary burden on him will sure to be a mistake.”
India has always longed for all-rounder. Past events witnessed Indian team with a few handful of fast-bowling all-rounder but could not really put off their careers amid all promises.
