Google Is Celebrating Women’s World Cup With An Interactive Cricket Doodle.

For the fans who are still devastated by the loss of India in the ICC Championship Trophy that concluded on June 18, it is important to know that the game is not over yet. Indian team is playing yet again the Cricket World Cup in England against the host country. But it’s not the men who are chasing the ball in the field but women.

Google paid tribute to the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 on its opening day on Saturday, and also reminded the cricket fans about the game with the live doodle. Have you tried it yet? It allows you to do the batting by yourself.

The tournament going on from 24 June till 23 July 2017 and is being hosted by England.

Looking back at the brief history of the Women ICC Championship, it was first played in 1973 — two years before the first men’s edition. India made its debut in the Championship in 1978, the time it hosted the event for the first time. It has now come a long way and this year, ICC is marking the 11th edition of Women’s World Cup.

The qualified teams playing in the tournament are Australia, England. India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka.
