After Anushka, Virat Kohli comes up with an interesting reply to Rohit Sharma’s wedding advice

On an uneventful Monday of December 11, Indian skipper Virat Kohli put an end to all the rumours surrounding his wedding. As news channels flashed headlines announcing his marriage to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, Twitterati poured in their congratulatory messages for the newly-wed couple. Cricketer Rohit Sharma, too, joined in the bandwagon with a bit of advice for either. Kohli, today, came up with a cheeky reply to the Hitman’s Tweet.

Monday evening of December 11 flashed Kohli’s marriage with Anushka. And within the remaining hours of the day, social media sites were filled with pictures and videos and congratulatory posts for the couple. Rohit, who has shared umpteen partnership records with Kohli, also took to his Twitter handle to join the bandwagon. He tweeted, “Congratulations you two! @imVkohli, I’ll share the husband handbook with you. @AnushkaSharma, keep the surname.” Well, there came an bit assistance for Kohli and a word of advice for Anushka.

And a week after the dubbed ‘marriage of the decade’, Kohli replied to Rohit’s Twitter message. Thanking the Indian opener, he said, “Rohit, and please do share the Double Hundred Handbook as well.” Well, the skipper may have notched up quite a few double tons in Tests, but not a single has come up in ODIs, so far. Ergo, the handbook is justifiable, isn’t it?

Towards the end of last week, Anushka too had come up with a reply to Rohit’s advice. She said, “Hahaha thanks Rohit! And congratulations on your splendid innings.”

Well, both did congratulate the opener on his record-breaking third double ton in ODIs during the second match against Sri Lanka. His stunner with the willow helped India level the series 1-1. Later, on Sunday, the Men in Blue bagged an eight-wicket win to etch their eighth successive ODI series win.

And, for Kohli and Anushka, they are busy with their honeymoon schedules. Kohli will join the squad for the three-match Test series against South Africa, starting January 5, next year.
