Shivraj Singh Chouhan – We want officers who carry sympathetic attitude towards our farmer.

‘I am a sensitive Chief Minister. I will not tolerate carelessness towards farmers. The farmers of Morena are upset over the negligence in buying millet. Sitting on dharna. I know the collector is oblivious. What kind of administration is this? Improve in time, all such officers will change. I do not want officers who are not sensitive. ‘ Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said this at a meeting of senior officials called late last night on the purchase of bajra.

Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Department Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, MD of MP State Marketing Association P. Narhari, Food Director Taran Pithode, and other officials were present.

The Chief Minister said that I am not satisfied with the current administrative system. Sources say that some senior officials may be replaced. In fact, the case was that many farmers in Morena are sitting on dharna at the procurement centers of bajra due to negligence, but Morena collector Anurag Verma did not pay heed to their demands. The chief minister went to Gondia on Saturday morning where he came to know about the farmers’ problems. When he returned to Bhopal late at night, he summoned all the officers and heard a lot of good luck.

When the Chief Minister was told that due to a bumper crop of millet, traders from outside states have come here to purchase millet at the support price. On this, the Chief Minister said that identify those people and apply them if required, but do not kill the rights of the legitimate people. He said that when the record of wheat procurement was made by us, one crore 29 lakh ton wheat was procured but there was no complaint of any disturbance. The Chief Minister said that now they will continuously review the purchase of millet and paddy.
