Post after the demise of former BJP firebrand political face and governor Lalji Tandon there is speculations about various political figures to take charge as Madhya Pradesh governor. Till now BJP has not given the green signal to anyone but for the sake of keeping the buzz over the new face at the low tone, BJP has given Anandiben Patel (Current UP Governor) extra charge as Madhya Pradesh governor.
Names under consideration as Madhya Pradesh Governor:
Vasundhara Raje: The most anticipated BJP political face of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje is believed to be the next Madhya Pradesh governor. A source told NLC, “BJP is trying to convince Vasundhara to take charge as Madhya Pradesh governor.” But as stated in the constitution, “A person can’t entre into active politics post after becoming the governor of any state.” Vasundhara Raje is an active and one of the most anticipated political faces in Indian politics. she has been Chief Minister of Rajasthan for two terms between 2003-2008 and 2013-2018. Considering the above-mentioned facts it seems that Raje will refuse BJP’s offer to become governor of MP.
