The Sky is Pink Review: The Movie is not about death but the beautiful portrayal of several shades of grieving.

Shonali Bose weaves a narrative that is neither overdramatic nor overtly subtle with Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar in The Sky Is Pink. Zaira Wasim’s Aisha adds life even in death. Rohit Saraf stands out amid stars.

Director of the film, Shonali Bose portrays this movie beautifully that even death has several shades of grieving. She said in an interview, ” Since the time I’ve lost my mother and my son, I’ve learned to look death in a beautiful way. Death can not only mean sadness or grief. You can give it a different narrative and look the beautiful parts of it. From this film, I wanted to show how death can have different shades and how you should celebrate life.”

Bose’s film is based on a real-life story: there really was an Aisha Chaudhary, born to Niren and Aditi, who died at 18. This is a touching tribute to a life cut short, even if the experience is less wrenching than what one might expect. After Aisha dies, the next scene is her funeral, with loud country music trampling over the goodbyes we’ve just witnessed.

Overall, the movie was heartwarming and emotional. It is getting good reviews from all over the world.
