Right after the election results, it was expected that BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will form the government with Devendra Fadnavis as the CM face but Shiv Sena’s rebel attitude lead to the alliance break.
After elections, governor Maharashtra called highest leading party BJP to prove mandate but as Shiv Sena backed off, BJP was not able to form government. After BJP, governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari called Shiv Sena, the second leading party to prove mandate and form government.
Shiv Sena asked for 48 hours to prove mandate and governor disapproved their request because of their radical supporters which can create a turbulence and panic situation in the state.
