5.6 Magnitude earthquake strikes Kashmir – Know More

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake strike Jammu and Kashmir yesterday’s evening. Moderate intensity tremors were felt in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley.

Tremors were felt at 10:17 pm and lasted for several seconds, till now no casualties have been reported. The moment people felt that, they ran out of their homes.

The epicenter was 118 kilometres from Srinagar, with a depth of 40 kilometres in northwestern Kashmir. The earthquake caused no damage to buildings or any other property.

People took to their twitter account and posted, “Earthquake jolts Kashmir Valley”, Ayash twitted. “Major Earthquake Jolts Kashmir. Please update from your areas”, Shakeeb Ibn Mohammad twitted. The inputs are taken from PTI.
