Campaigning for ongoing lok sabha elections is at its peek. Today, UP CM Yogi Adityanath while addressing a rally in Chandauli district made an humorous statement “Hum 2 Bhojpuri kalakaro ko chunaav lada rahe hain 1 Azamgarh aur 1 Gorakhpur se, Mumbai se pakad ke laye hain inko, zabardasti laye hain ki ab poorvi UP ke liye bhi kuchh karo. Jab yeh kalakaar sansad banenge to poorvi UP mein bhi filmcity ban sakti hai” (translation: We have launched two bhojpuri superstars in ongoing lok sabha elections, one will contest from Azamgarh while the other will contest from Gorakhpur. They are brought from Mumbai for the welfare of eastern Uttar Pradesh and if they win the election and BJP is formed at the centre only then there is a chance of construction of Film City in both respective cities).
BJP has allocated Gorakhpur ticket to Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan and Azamgarh ticket to Dinesh Lal Yadav aka ‘Nirahua’. Both superstars are the parachute MP’s launched to create the BJP wave and attract the voter towards BJP.
