Faceapp which makes you look old poses a privacy threat could be a national security risk and FBI must open an investigation into the app.
Faceapp an app by a Russian company, which shows how you will look after 40 years of age is booming nowadays among youngsters. In the last week, more than 150 million people have used this app across the app.
This app has become trending and people are uploading their age filtered photos on social media. The problem with this app is it uses your personal data to upload photos this has become a concern. The photo in which the age app filter is applied is uploaded to face app server.
The concern that has come into consideration is that the app not only uploads the age filtered photo but also other photos in your gallery. US senator Chuck Schumer has said, “FBI should investigate if face app is storing private data of users.”
Faceapp has clarified their privacy concern, most of the photos are processed in the cloud only the age filtered photo is used in the cloud and other photos are secured. After 48 hours all the age filtered photo are deleted from the cloud.
