Dalip Singh Rana Dalip Singh Rana, better known by the ring name ‘The Great Khali’, is an Indian Professional wrestler, promoter and actor. Khali was born on 27 August 1972 to Jwala Ram and his wife Tandi Devi in a Punjabi Hindu family of the Dhiraina village of Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district.
Before embarking on his professional wrestling career, Khali was an officer for the Punjab state police. Khali started his wrestling career in 2000 but gained popularity from 2006 to 2014. He is the first Indian wrestler to win World Heavy Weight Champion belt in WWE ring fight. Khali has also appeared on 4 Hollywood, 2 Bollywood, and several television shows.
Khali has portrayed the role in various Hollywood films such as The Longest Yard (2005), Get Smart (2008), MacGruber (2010), and Houba! On the trail of the Marsupilami (2012). He has also appeared on Bollywood movies such as Kushti (2010) and Ramaa: The Survivor (2010)
