Telangana state bus conductor under lens for criticising CM K. Chandrashekar Rao

In a shocking incident, a conductor working with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been suspended after he allegedly criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and the Corporation on social media. D Sanjeev, attached to Nizamabad – I bus depot, had also allegedly made adverse comments against the home minister, transport minister and officials of the TSRTC

On Wednesday, a senior official said that Sanjeev, the bus conductor who was suspended, had been asked to give an explanation in this regard last month.

Sanjeev, in his post, said that funds announced for the TSRTC were not yet released and promises made to its employees during elections were not kept. “There is a mechanism in the Corporation for conveying employees’ grievance to the management. Without availing the system, Sanjeev posted certain comments on social media tarnishing the Corporation’s image. A preliminary enquiry was conducted and it was prima facie found that he had violated ‘Conduct Regulations’ of the Corporation,” the official said.

Responding to his suspension, Sanjeev called it injustice and announced that he is getting ready to battle it out in the Court.

Asserting that he did not make any comments on the Chief Minister, Sanjeev said that he only represented the facts for which he is facing injustice.

In a similar incident, a teenager was arrested from Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district for allegedly abusing PM in a private Facebook message.

S Thirumurugan was arrested on Monday after K Marimuthu, BJP district secretary, filed a complaint with screenshots of the conversation.

S Thirumurugan is a polytechnic student and a fan of actor Vijay. He has been remanded to 15-days judicial custody
