The hate crimes, which start with the death of a 17-year student due to a drug overdose, seem not to settle down anytime soon. Following their child’s death, another incident of hate crime had surfaced in which a Nigerian man is hauled down by a group of people and being beaten with sticks, dustbins, chairs, stools.

 

The horrific incident is shot in a mall of Greater Noida, Ansal Plaza. The incident points the deteriorating situation of law and order in Uttar Pradesh. There’s not much time the new government have come to power and such incident of hate crimes had surfaced. This incident also opens up the image of the Akhilesh Yadav’s scheme of UP100, where police personnel should be present in public areas.

 

It all started with when four Africans were attacked by residents near Ansal Plaza in Pari Chowk area. Since that time, these incidents of hate crimes has seen a steep rise. However, the FIR has been registered and the police investigation is underway. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, had spoken to UP CM over the attack on African students in Noida. In a series of tweet, Sushma Swaraj says that she sought the report from Yogi Adityanath and assured for the impartial police investigation

 

 

 

 

 

Also, the Association of African Students in India had directed the students to remain inside their houses until the time the matter resolves.
