Social media overloaded with memes as CBSE cancels Board exams

As the rising cases of COVID-19 in India, the Central Board of Secondary Education told Supreme Court on Thursday that the pending exams will not be conducted for class 10th and 12th which was earlier rescheduled from 1st July to 15th July. As the exams for class 10th will remain canceled, it was said exams can be conducted for class 12th for students who opt for it as soon as conditions are under control. This announcement made many reactions on social media.

For the time being, class 12 students will be evaluated and marked on the last three school exams. They will appear in board exams at a date which will be decided later if the students would want to improve their results.

Supreme Court has told Central Government and CBSE to issue a new and updated notification for class 12 examination and clear all the status of state board exams. This came up after the state governments of Delhi, Maharashtra, and Tami Nadu decided not to conduct the examination.

The Council for The Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) also decided to cancel the exams. They gave students an option to opt-out of board exams. Students can have resulted in the tabulated form according to pre boards given in school.

Earlier, the government of Andhra Pradesh decided to cancel the examination. Education minister Adimulapu Suresh announced the decision to cancel exams due to the rising cases of COVID-19.
