Smriti Irani Lashed Out At PTI Following A Fake Picture Posted By The Media House

After handling the charge of Information and Broadcasting ministry, Smriti Z Irani is keeping a check on the same. Soon after taking over the charge, I&B Minister noticed that fake pictures are making rounds on the internet by the Press Trust of India.

The Press Trust of India tweeted a photo of Chennai flood and passed off as Ahemdabad. The I&B minister was quick to point at the mistake and tweets:

Soon after the tweet, the PTI officially apologized for the mistake and tweets that they are looking in to the matter:

However, the minister was not at all satisfied and asked the PTI to explain how this happened.

However, the image has been taken down by the PTI soon after the I&B Minister pointed at the mistake.

But the damage was done and had irked the twitter user. Here are some reactions:

A sudden downpour in Ahemdabad has claimed 129 life in the state. The NDRF team is taking all the measure to resuce the people being affected from the flood. The Indian airforce helicopters are also gushed in at the site to provide relief material who are affected in the region. So far, more than 50,000 people have been rescued from Banaskantha and Patan distrcit which were badly hit from the flood.
