Navjot Singh Sidhu recently crossed the border and attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony in Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh in a recent interview with Times Now said that he had asked Sidhu for not attending Groundbreaking Ceremony in Pakistan. CM Singh added that Sidhu had crossed the border and attended the Groundbreaking ceremony in Kartarpur Sahib Corridor at his personal capacity.
Captain Amrinder said that Sidhu asked me for a personal visit to Pakistan not for the official visit. I suggested him to avoid his visit as there are already a lot of Taut-Stretched at our borders. Pakistan army is killing our soldiers on a regular basis. CM Singh asserted that despite my refusal Sidhu had left for Pakistan and will attend the ceremony on Wednesday. Punjab CM also commented on Sidhu for hugging Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. He said that why Sidhu is hugging Pakistan Army Chief who is killing our soldiers on regular basis.
Sidhu when asked about hugging Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa. He said that when two Punjabis meet after a long time they hug each other. Sidhu said that why everyone is making an issue of this incidence. That was just a hug, not Rafale deal.
