While Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues shouting through the rooftop to promote and implement the Swachh Bharat mission at every corner of the country, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah was invited for lunch at a tribal party worker’s home which yet has no toilet. The tribal saffron party worker, named Kamal Singh Uike, hosted BJP leaders including Shah, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state party chief Nandkumar Singh Chouhan at his house at the state’s Sevania-Gaud.
Ironically, Uike, himself a BJP party worker had been desperately trying, for the last six months, to get a toilet built under the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but failed to avail one. However, with the BJP’s top leaders visit at his place, the tribal worker might finally get a toilet for his house.

Struggling amid the lack of a proper toilet at their house, Uike’s family was compelled to use the toilets at the houses of their relatives living nearby. However, after the news hit the headlines of news portals, the state revenue minister Umashankar Gupta assured that the application was under process and a toilet will soon be constructed at Uike’s house.
Inspired PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign which bats for the use of toilets instead of open defecation, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Toilet Ek Prem Kata’ has been a massive hit in the box office. The movie, also featuring ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ star Bhumi Pednekar, depicts a fight against open defecation in the name of age-old traditions.
