Red Fm Hits Back After BMC Served RJ Malishka A Legal Notice

After landing in the hot-pot for serving the legal notice against an RJ Malishka over her song exposing Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), and being in the headline for all the wrong the reason, and attacking the right to freedom of expression and vendetta policies, the Organisation, Red Fm, has hit back to the BMC in their latest song.

RJ Malishka Mendonsa made a satirical video using a Marathi song Sonu Tuza Mazyavar Bharosa Nai Kai last week mocking BMC and the Shiv Sena. This irked the BMC and the Shiv Sena and forced them to serve them the legal notice to RJ.

The song, which irked BMC and Shiv Sena:

Following the video posted on the RedFm 93.5 YouTube channel, two members of Sena’s youth wing Yuva Sena – Amey Ghole and Samandhan Sarvankar- complained about the video on Tuesday, which has already picked up the steam and had garnered more than 11 lakh views on YouTube. The Youth Sena had also filed the Rs 500 crore defamation case against the Radio Channel.

Fumed with the video and the exposed truth they are in, the BMC served a notice to Mendos’a mother, Lily, a day later over facilitating mosquito breeding at their Bandra house in Mumbai.

According to the media report, the notice was served post a “routine inspection” may lead to legal action against the Mendosas.

Here is the copy of the notice sent by the BMC to the Mendosas:

Calling the video an affront to the city as well the BMC, the Sena leader Sarvankar contested that the aspects being purportedly talked about in the video – two highways, the city’s traffic and railways – do not fall under the BMC’s jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, Gholey was quoted saying to the media, “The BMC’s legal department will decide what action is best suited in this case. The song has hurt the city’s efforts at attracting foreign investment and global talent…”

Malishka is currently in New York in the US, where she went to attend the IIFA ceremony.
