PM Narendra Modi visits Bihar, development projects on the cards

In his visit to Bihar to attend the centenary celebrations of the Patna University, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched several development projects worth over 3,700 crores. Launching the “Diwali gift” in the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones of four water treatment plants and a six-lane bridge, parallel to existing one between Mokemah and Begusrai, on river Ganga.

It’s PM’s first-ever full-fledged official tour to the state since the Bhartiya Janata Party came to hot-seat after a dramatic shift of power took in the state after Nitish Kumar broke his ally with Lalu Prasad Yadav back in July this year. Prime Minister also announced the road-map of making 10 private and 10 public universities, making them a world-class over 5-years with a fund of Rs 10,000 crore.

After the centenary celebrations, PM Modi will fly to Mokama, 100 km from the capital city of Bihar, where he will lay the foundation stone for Rs 3031 crore National Highways project as many sewage treatment plants and related work worth over Rs 730 crore.

Hitting out at Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, Former Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav, who is now the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, questions Nitish Kumar government over amenities in the state’s schools. He tweets:
