Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, will be celebrated two days on 23 and 24 August this time. The festival of Janmashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami of the month of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha, according to the Hindu Panchang. This time it is two days on Ashtami 23 and 24. Special worshipers will celebrate Janmashtami on 23, while ordinary people can celebrate Janmashtami on 24 August. Because of the Udaya date Ashtami, it is on August 24. However, if we look at the Ashtami date at midnight at the time of Lord Krishna’s birth, then Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 23.

Lord Shri Krishna was born at midnight in Rohini Nakshatra. It is considered auspicious to have the coincidence of Rohini Nakshatra on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha in Bhadrapada month. Rohini Nakshatra, Ashtami Tithi and Sun and Moon planets are also in the high zodiac sign. Sun and Moon will be in the high house along with Rohini Nakshatra, Ashtami. Kanha will be born this time in the wonderful coincidence of Dwapara period. Everyone is celebrating Krishna Janam. Laddu Gopal will have a splash till the sixth. Worshipping Lord Shri Krishna on this yoga will remove all the sufferings of the devotees.

On the day of Janmashtami, take a bath in the morning and pay obeisance to the five deities of Brahma, and take the posture facing east or north. Take the resolution of the fast with water, flowers in your hand while chanting this mantra – ‘Mama Akhil Papaprashman Sarvabhisht Siddhaye Sri Krishna Janmashtami vrat Krishna. In the afternoon after the morning worship, take a bath with black sesame mixed water for the peace of Rahu, Ketu and the cruel planets. This reduces their ill effects.
