I Am A Cop; I Can Also Fall In Love: Dismissed After She Married A Gangster!

In a classic case of bizarre-meets-reality, a woman constable, who fell in love with a gangster because she was “fascinated by his lifestyle”, has been terminated from Bihar Police. A love story coming straight out of typical C-grade film industry, Priti Kumari, a constable at Bhagalpur police station in Bihar, fell in love with a Mithu Sah, while she was posted at the Sitamarthi woman police station. Sah was listed as one of the ‘most-wanted’ gangsters in Sitamarhi district.

The two reportedly used to meet secretly while she was posted in the women’s police station in Sitamarhi district last year. Apparently, Priti was fascinated by the dreaded gangster Sah’s lifestyle.
Subsequently, she tied the knot with the gangster at a temple.

However, things didn’t quite work in the end for the love-stricken cop. Once the matter reached the police, it didn’t go down well with the department and she was shifted to Bhagalpur with immediate effect while an investigation was launched against her. During the course of the inquiry, it was found that the constable supplied confidential information related to the department to her gangster husband. The inquiry report also accused her of tarnishing the image of the police department. She was asked for clarification.

“By marrying a person with criminal antecedents, she had given the for
ce a bad name,” Sitamarhi Superintendent of Police told the press.

After she failed to provide a convincing reply, the police department decided to sack her from service.
