Housefull 4, upon its release on October 25, garnered mostly negative reviews. ZoomTV.com, in its 2.5-star review of the film, noted, “The second half of the film is predictable, slow and lacks the goofiness of the first half. Despite a strong performance by Rana Daggubati (the antagonist), the film appears too stretched and bland. Housefull series is known for its slapstick comedy, but the fourth part of the series fails to deliver that.

Despite the claims that the movie is too stretched and bland Housefull 4 is performing slow but better as expected. The film has crossed the landmark of the 100-crore club on day 5 of its release.
