Happy Birthday Shakti Kapoor aka Sunil Sikanderlal Kapoor

Bollywood’s very powerful actor Shakti Kapoor aka Sunil Sikanderlal Kapoor is celebrating his 67th birthday today. Shakti was born on 3 September 1952 in a Punjabi family in Delhi and his father used to run a tailor’s shop in Connaught Place.
According to the media report, there is a special reason behind changing his name Sunil Sikander Lal to Shakti Kapoor. When Shakti was offered the role of a villain by Sunil Dutt, he offered Sanjay Dutt Starrer movie ‘rocky’. He did not like his name as a villain. For this reason, he changed his name to Shakti Kapoor. Shakti Kapoor appearance in Bollywood films known for his villainous and comic roles in Hindi films, he has featured in more than 700 films throughout his career.
Shakti Kapoor worked in films like Insaaf, Andaz Apna Apna, Tohfaa, Chalbaaz, and Bol Radha Bol in his acting career. Shakti, in the role of crime master Gogo in ‘Andaz Apna Apna Apna’, says to ‘play with eyes and play tricks’ or ‘I’m a teeny, cute little baby’ in Chalbaaz movie, or ‘Raja Babu’ In ‘Nandu Sabka Bandhu’, whatever role he came on screen, he made a place in the hearts of people due to his excellent dialogue delivery and superb acting. Now after Shakti, his daughter Shraddha Kapoor made an entry in Bollywood in 2010 by Teen Patti alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
