Richa Sharma, an iconic singer who has gained enormous recognition for her wonderful work in the Indian film industry. She was born on 29 August 1980. Richa’s father the late Pandit Dayashankar was a famous narrator and classical singer. Under whose inspiration, Richa studied music. Richa was fond of music since childhood. About 30 years ago, his family left Patiala and moved to Faridabad and now the family lives in Mumbai. She works as a rock singer as well as a devotional singer in the industry. Her amazing voice and different way of singing had brought her fame and took her to the peak of success. Though she has started her career with devotional songs, nowadays she is working with the recent Bollywood industry.

Richa Sharma sang the song for the first time at the age of 8 in Jagratte, when she received Rs 11. In an interview, he told that he still keeps those rupees. Richa had said, ‘Father used to say if you get bread made on a plate, what taste? The fun is when you sow seeds, cut, peso, and cook and eat again … When I was very young, my father realized that I would become a singer. He had said in front of me that my daughter will earn a name in music.

Travelling to Bollywood was not easy for a girl who sang in Jagrans. He learned singing hymns from his father. In 1995, Richa went to Mumbai in connection with a live show. For the first time here, he sang Bhajan of Mata at an event, during which he got a chance to sing in the film ‘Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya’. After this film, Richa Sharma started getting opportunities in films. He sang songs for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer film Kal Ho Na Ho and Om Shanti Om        

Richa Sharma began to rule the hearts of millions by singing songs like ‘Char Din Ka Pyar O Rabba Lambi Judai …’ in the film Jannat, ‘Chhalka-Chhalka …’ in the film Saathiya and ‘Billo Rani’ in the film Omkar. Richa Sharma’s Sufiana Kalam and Bhajan songs continue.
