“Delhi’s Coldest November Morning in 14 years today,” Says Weather Department.

New Delhi: The national capital has recorded the minimum of 7.5 degrees Celsius on Friday morning, that is the lowest temperature ever in November Morning in the last 14 years, according to India’s Meteorological Department data.

The city has also witnessed the cold wave conditions which is the minimum temperature of less than 10 degrees Celsius and 5 notches below normal, said Mahesh Palawat, an expert at Skymet Whether, a private forcasting agency.

Delhi has recorded the lowest temperature of 11.5 degrees Celsius in 2019, 10.5 degrees Celsius in 2018 and 7.6 degrees Celsius in 2017 in the month of November.

The unbroken record of the lowest temperature in Delhi was 3.9 degrees Celsius recorded in November 28, 1938. Palawat told media that the cold wave coming from the snow- laden Western Himalayas will continue till Saturday.

The fresh Western Disturbance in northwest India is approaching in November 23.

According to IMD officials, the minimum temperature this month has remained 2-3 degrees Celsius below normal in the absence of cloud cover on November 16.
